Join Up

Minimum Requirements:

• Good communication skills in English as well as in German
• A minimum age of 16 years
• A good reputation on the VATSIM Network
• 50 logged pilot hours on the VATSIM Network (100 if you are under 18 years old)
  (Exceptions can be made if it can be substituted by another qualification, e.g., already good flying / communication skills)
• Able to invest time into the hobby
• Dutiful and mature behavior

After Acceptance:

• Joining is only possible after a successful onboarding talk with the team
• The first 30 days are a trial period: You should try to find your way into the community and begin your training.
• After 30 days a final meeting about the trial period will take place: In this meeting we will together assess whether you fit into the community or not.
• After the trial period ends, normal membership commences with all the rights and obligations.

Each applicant is aware that violations of VATSIM regulations and the Code of Conduct may have substantial consequences to include, but not limited to; suspensions or permanent removal from the VATSIM network.

Each applicant is aware that partnership with VATSIM is a privilege, and not a right, and membership with the VSOA may be revoked at any time.
